TRIP TO AUSTRALIA FEB 2011 - James Ruse, Pymble Ladies College, Knox Grammar (Sydney, AUS)
We will be organizing an exchange with 3 other schools in Sydney, Australia during February, 2011.
We expect that some students can stay from around Feb 1 to Feb 22nd, as Pymble particularly are
asking us to stay for 3 weeks. I know that those in 9th grade would need or like to be back for graduation on Feb 11, so that means that one group could go there for 10 days, and another for longer.
It may also be possible to send some after graduation if that became necessary.
Home-stay: All students would be matched up with buddies. The boys would be housed by families
from Knox Grammar, and the girls with families from Pymble Ladies College. All food and accommodation costs will be bo by the home-stay families and the schools, thus the cost would be
only the airfare plus a partial contribution from each student for the teacher''s/ chaperone''s airfare.
Other costs would only be for some trips and visits in Australia and your own pocket money for souvenirs, gifts, etc.
OPEN TO THESE GRADES: MS 2 & 3 HS 1 (Groups should generally be formed within their own grade level to do projects together. This year would be short-term projects will be possible)
OTHER IDEAS: If you have specific requests of what you would like to do please send me these ideas.
Costs: My estimate is less than \ 1,500,000 all included.
