The following prizes will be presented to the classes that collect the most rice, the most books (in good shape only please!), and the most spectacles. (This applies to MS & HS together). This
has to be brought to school by Monday Sept 13th before 5 pm, when the totals will be counted.
(HR teachers and class presidents are asked to help store the items in a dry, safe place.)
1) First prize is a pizza party !!!!
2) Second prize is a celebration cake!!!!
3) Third prize is "mongshells" for all the class!!!!
The number of Kgs of rice will be added to the number of books & the number of spectacles.
Since rice will be the most helpful we will multiply the number of Kgs by 2, and since spectacles (glasses) are much rarer than any of the three, we will multiply that number by 3. So for those math
boffins out there, the formula will be b + 2r + 3s = Total ..... or number of books + 2 X number of rice Kgs + 3 X Number of pairs of spectacles = Grand Total for prizes!
Note that rice must be brought in sealed unopened new bags from the store in order to be counted & donated, not filled into "baggies". This is in order to ensure that the donated rice has not been exposed to bacteria, etc.
