DAM DECK HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT – Overview
Location: Dam Deck high school is located in Sutnickum District to east of
Siem Reap town (30 km), 45 minutes drive from Siem Reap City, The district has 14 communities, lies along National road Nº 6 , Siem Reap to Phnom Penh (Capital city) some community located on the edge of Tonle Sap Lake.
Possible projects with Dam Deck high school
? Project: Painting one old building with 5 class rooms, both Korean and Cambodia student will work together to finalize the project (this building was build since 1960).
? Project: Building school fence (50 m) this project both will work with engineer help to finalizing the project.
? Estimated budget: 1500 to 2000 US$ (divided among all participants about 150,000 KRW each)
Note: The above project will be finalize at least 1 month before the group start.
Day-time schedule:
Cultural exchange with Dam Deck high school and doing construction projects together.
Note: during this period student are on vacation, therefore student that will join cultural information exchange will be limited 2 -3 classes (70 – 80 students).
Day 5 25 June 2010 Angkor Wat – Big Circuit (17 Km cycling) B,L,D
Begin the day by cycling to the spectacular Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm, as well as visiting a series of smaller monuments. The world-famous temples of Angkor were built between the 9th and 14th centuries, when the Khmer civilization was at the peak of its extraordinary creativity and constitute one of humanity''s most magnificent architectural achievements.
At least one day in the main city shopping area.
